  • It's not the cheapest at high volume. For 500 identical simple shirts, screen printing will usually win on per-shirt cost. And the cost isn't literally identical at 1 piece versus 1,000 — gang-sheet efficiency, labor, supplier discounts, and consumables all shift the real number.
  • In-house production is real work. If you print transfers yourself, you'll manage white ink circulation, printhead upkeep, humidity, RIP software and color management, adhesive powder and curing, ventilation, and dialing in heat-press settings.
