DTG (Direct-to-Garment) prints ink directly onto garments. DTF (Direct-to-Film) prints designs onto transfer film before they are heat pressed onto fabric. UV DTF creates adhesive transfers that can be applied to smooth hard surfaces such as glass, acrylic, tumblers, packaging, and promotional products without a heat press.

DTG printing is commonly used on cotton and cotton-rich garments. It is especially well suited for T-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel where detailed artwork, full-color designs, and a soft print feel are important.

DTF transfers can be applied to cotton, polyester, blends, canvas, denim, and many other textile materials. This makes DTF a flexible option for T-shirts, hoodies, uniforms, tote bags, workwear, and other custom apparel products.

UV DTF is designed primarily for smooth hard surfaces such as tumblers, cups, glassware, acrylic, plastic, metal, ceramic, packaging, signs, and personalized gifts. For garments and other textile products, DTG or DTF is the more appropriate printing method.

It depends on the products you plan to sell. DTG is a strong choice for direct printing on cotton apparel, DTF offers more flexibility across different fabric types, and UV DTF is designed for decorating hard-surface products. Consider your product range, order volume, available workspace, and preferred workflow before choosing a setup.
